Instructors: Susan Esker + Lynne Knop
Susan Esker is the Director of Sales and Marketing of Growing Green Inc., a St. Louis-based interior plantscape company. Ms. Esker’s primary responsibilities include sales, marketing, and customer service liaison. Ms. Esker began working for Growing Green in 2003 as a sales assistant. Today, she is the Director of Sales and Marketing for the company. Coming from a background in Floral Design led her to pursue an Associate’s Degree in Horticulture, even becoming a floral design instructor at the local community college where she obtained her degree. She then went on to pursue a Bachelor of Science in Workforce Education and Development from Southern Illinois University Carbondale. She also holds a Master of Arts from Webster University, St. Louis in Human Resource Development.
Lynne Knop has been playing in the dirt since she could crawl. Her love of plants stems from her Grandma and Mom. Her love of art came a little later when she was in kindergarten and discovered the joy of painting and construction paper. Now that she’s old she has finally been able to bring the two pastimes together and actually get paid for it. Her life is complete. Lynne started her career in horticulture at Heimos Greenhouses in 2013 as a Market Development Supervisor. In 2015 she started at Growing Green as the Warehouse/Installations Manager. Lynne is extremely creative and designs all of our color rotations, color bowl programs, and designs and creates most of our Moss walls at this point.

MORE ABOUT YOUR HOST
Project Creativity is a new series of craft and art-making classes offered by the Sheldon Art Galleries, designed to help you discover your creative abilities! This summer, we offer our first set of classes, teaching the art of flower origami and pinhole camera-making. A cash bar and light snacks will be available. Bring friends and make it an evening of fun, cocktails and creative crafting!
The not-for-profit Sheldon Art Galleries exhibits works by local, national and international artists in all media. Over 6,000 square feet of the galleries’ spaces on the 2nd floor are permanently devoted to rotating exhibits of photography, architecture, music art and history and children’s art. A sculpture garden, seen from both the atrium lobby and the connecting glass bridge, features periodic rotations and installations, and the Nancy Spirtas Kranzberg Gallery on the lower level features art of all media. The Sheldon actively supports the work of St. Louis artists in all mediums and features a dedicated gallery with museum-quality exhibits by St. Louis artists, past and present.
