Event Overview

Tonight students will be working with Sarah Rye Bliss making a "Hosta Wall Candle Sconce". We will construct the sconce from real clay, shape and form into something useful and beautiful.  By the end of class everyone will have made one "sconce".  Everyones project will be dipped in a sage or mint green glaze by the instructor.

Our hand-building classes usually have 10-20 students.  In order to keep our methods authentic and successful for students, we will only be making items related to the class theme.  Create functional & sculptural work.  Pottery is fired to Cone 6-STONEWARE which means it is food-safe!  Class size is usually 10-20 students.  $45 Class Fee covers: clay, glaze & firing.  Projects are usually available for pick-up within 3 weeks after your class, however we will email you when things are ready for pick-up.  Students of all levels are welcome! Make Something NEW, LEARN something NEW.  Class is BYOB, so feel free to bring your own drinks and snacks.  (SBAP has plates, cups, napkins, silverware, openers etc.)
