Event Overview
Sink Pot Drainer & Soap Dish is at Clay Date Workshop tonight! Class is from 7-10pm. Your instructor is Sarah Adzick, SBAP Resident Artist. Tonight we will MAKE a Sink-Pot Drainer and Matching Soap Dish Every kitchen sink needs a functional and beautiful sink-pot drainer and matching soap dish for scrubbies, brushes and soap! You will learn how to create surface design with tools, and addons, as well as how to make attachments. All of our pottery is food safe and your creation will be totally usable as often as you like! All of the mugs and saucers from tonight will be dipped in a glaze by the instructor after the first bisque firing. Students who want to choose a different color or glaze combination can pay an extra $12 glaze fee and drop in at open studio any Thursday, or Friday 12-7pm or Saturday 10-4pm.
Due to the mold-able nature of clay, you really can make anything with it, and it is often tempting for students at Clay Date Night to stray from the class theme and try to make a different project which can often have less than desired results. In order to keep our methods authentic and successful for all students, we will only be making items related to the class theme. However if you are inspired by something you see, please let your instructor know so she can tell you more about it! If you leave class tonight wanting to learn more about pottery and ceramics consider buying an Open Studio Pass where you can work with the guidance of an instructor while making your own project choices and taking your learning to the next level!

GLAZE & FIRING
