Event Overview
Do you have an SLR camera that you never really took the time to learn how to use? Are you always shooting in auto mode because you're unsure of which settings to use? In this class, we'll start with the basics and walk through how to get the correct settings on any SLR camera. You spent a lot of money on a nice camera, so now let's learn how to use it!
We'll begin in a classroom setting where we'll review photography basics like ISO, f-stop, and shutterspeed. Then we'll go over the different camera settings, when to use them, and how to toggle them specifically on your camera.
After our two hours in the classroom (weather permitting), you are welcome to join me on an one hour photowalk to put your new camera knowledge to work. We'll look for good light, take some portraits, and go over any questions you might have.

Photo Formats: Jpeg vs Raw
Understanding Exposure
Shooting modes
Other important features: White balance, focal modes, shutter drives, and more
Lenses: which lens should I buy?
What to Bring
SLR Camera with a fully charged battery. Feel free to bring multiple lenses if you don't mind carrying them
