Event Overview

Are you looking for a unique gift for mom on Mother's Day? In this class I'll be teaching myriad tips and tricks for photographing children of all ages.

Perfect for any parent or grandparent who likes to take photos, this class will be full of techniques that will help you get better photographs of the kids in your life, both posed and candid. We'll briefly cover photographing infants and older children, but will spend most of our time talking about how to get photos of younger children (roughly ages 1-5) who are unable to take direction or be bribed to pose.

You'll walk away from this class with an entirely new toolkit for children's photographing. You'll learn the best camera settings, get recommendations on the best lenses to use, and most importantly, we'll talk about different games and misdirections we can use in order to convince younger kids to pose and smile at the camera.

What to Bring

Pen and paper to take notes. SLR camera is optional but recommended. iPhone photography is applicable to this class but smartphone photographers will miss out on portions about settings & lenses.
