Action Blogging for the Adventurous
TOP RATED
Business & Technology
If you think blogging is about hiding behind your computer screen, think again. Nowadays, blogging is an extreme sport. A blogger is a journalist, a photographer, an investigative reporter, a talk-show host, a brand representative -- a media mogul. And if you’re trying to create content on the go, your tools are limited.
Anyone with an interest in travel blogging, events or just watching yourself talk on your iPhone, is going to love this action-packed class for new and intermediate bloggers.
The session will begin with a general overview of:
-- Image-editing with apps like Photoshop Express and Pic Jointer
-- Video recording apps like Socialcam
-- Social media apps like Twitter and Instagram
We’ll also discuss the basics of content creation and what makes a great blog post.
THEN, we'll test our skills by heading over to the Green City Market to capture the sights and sounds of bustling activity, with the intent to each write a blog post about our experiences.
AFTER THAT, we’ll re-group to discuss our experiences and brainstorm angles for a great blog post. We’ll spend some time drafting our own posts and sharing them in small groups.
**Students will leave with a toolbox of new apps, guidelines of what makes a great blog post, a brand-new article ready for publication, and a more comfortable understanding of what it takes to create an involved, active blog.**
