  Enthusiastic and patient teacher with a love for the whispy handwriting course! I liked that it was held at a public place and not inside someone's home. Supplies were provided and instruction was easy to follow. For a writing class it would be nice to be in a place with brighter lighting, but overall good experience. Thanks!

  Class was in a great environment (set up in the back of lively restaurant) with a good group of people. Definitely a class geared toward exposing you to calligraphy and if this is something you want to invest your time and practice into. For me, it was something fun and different.

  Meg was a great teacher. You could tell that she loves calligraphy, and is experienced both in its practice and as a teacher. Her tips and explanations helped tremendously. She's also very warm and engaging, setting a fun and friendly tone for the class. Highly recommended!

  I have been curious about calligraphy for a while now and read so many nice reviews of this particular class that I couldn't help but try it out. I had a great time last night learning a new hobby and meeting some fun folks!   This was my first Dabble class--I went alone, because that's why I joined Dabble in the first place. I LOVED this class. The teacher did a great job of gauging who was there to really dive into the learning aspect and who was there for more of the social aspect of the class. She offered helpful advice and was warm and personable. Everyone was friendly, the atmosphere was wonderful, I just had a great time! I'm very much looking forward to taking more classes on Dabble, especially if they are all as fun and enjoyable as this one.

  This class was great! Meg was very friendly and offered a great balance of practice time and instructional time. You walk in a newby to calligraphy and leave with confidence and a piqued interest. I immediately went home and looked up prices and availability of supplies, thinking that just "dabbling" in calligraphy has led me to a great new skill!

I feel like we learned nothing and basically were handed a sheet of pre-made letters and were told to copy them onto blank sheets. The the greatest piece of guidance was "hold your pen at 45 degrees" which to anybody holding a pen or has even written, is fairly obvious...

  I'm recently engaged, and of course, have been doing a lot of wedding searches about various things. In my search for paper goods and calligraphers, I ran across this Dabble course. I've always been obsessed w/ pen, paper, and handwriting, so I figured there's no better time to pick up a pen, some paper, and sharpen up my calligraphy skills so I can do my own paper goods for my wedding! It was perfect. Class was small, fun, easy, and just enough to get you started in calligraphy if you really took a liking to it. And the teacher, Meg, was so nice and sweet. Definitely impressed; this will definitely help me achieve my goals in why I went to begin with.

  This was a fun class in a relaxing atmosphere. It was a great beginner class where I learned how to hold the pen, practiced writing letters and sentences, and got info for how to continue to learn and grow in my new hobby.

  I am so excited that I found Dabble. I love that I can take these 1 time workshops without the long commitment. I am a freelance illustrator, so I am always looking for opportunities to learn more. I work from home, so being able to take a class with actual physical people is necessary for my sanity. This was a fun experience to meet other people and learn how to do calligraphy.   Lots of info was condensed into an enjoyable hour and a half or so of learning and writing. Meg was very informative and encouraging, and through some trial and error, I came away with a (raw) new skill and new appreciation for this type of hand lettering.

  Meg is a good teacher. I thought the class was really well structured and we were able to learn the basics while practicing our skills in 1.5 hours. We also got a calligraphy pen to take home and I am inspired to do some more lettering and writing with various styles of pens. It was a fun class and really great if you want to understand the basics of calligraphy.

  A creative, relaxing way to spend the evening! Meg is a great teacher, the class has a natural flow to it. Walked away with materials and knowledge to keep learning and practicing calligraphy after class. I recommend this class as a great intro!

  It was just alright. Teacher was good but mostly you work on calligraphy by yourself and following a handout. At least the class wasn't too expensive and you get a calligraphy pen.
