Event Overview

One of several classes by the Chicago School of Wilderness Skills, in this class students will learn a variety of ways of purifying water in a wilderness setting.

Starting with a lecture on water quality and pollution as well as bacterial and fungal contamination, students will then learn several methods for rendering water safe to drink without the use of a water filter, including a worse case scenario where students will collectively build a primitive filter out of foraged woodland materials.
