Chocolate Truffle Party
10 Have Dabbled
Food & Drink
You've always set aside your "emergency indulgence fund" to buy high-quality chocolate truffles when the mood strikes. And it strikes often, and the fund is never quite enough. Now, you will be able to create truffles on a moment's notice: for mood-lifting purposes, as a hostess gift, or a thank-you to someone really special.
Join chocolatier Katherine Duncan of Katherine Anne Confections in this hands-on class as she tutors you in the art of making truffles. You will team up with other novice confectioners to create a truffle flavor entirely from scratch, using high-quality chocolate, cream, butter, and other fun ingredients. You will measure, melt, chill, scoop, and roll truffles to completion.
No experience required, just a love of fun and a willingness to eat chocolate. We provide ingredients and all that jazz. Save room for wine and tasty snacks!

Katherine's first venture started at the age of 10, when she would use cream from her family's Jersey cows to create soft, old-fashioned caramels. "Katherine's Karamels" were sold at Dad's office for 25 cents each, and quickly became a local favorite. Soon, her caramels and truffles were highly anticipated gifts every Christmas. In the fall of 2006, Katherine Anne Confections was launched in Chicago to rave reviews. Today, you can find Katherine in her Logan Square kitchen, stirring caramel and rolling truffles just like she did at age 10, just with a lot more chocolate.
