Event Overview

Nettelhorst became the first public elementary school to walk in Chicago’s Gay Pride Parade, and since then, the school's Pride Fence has become an enduring symbol of tolerance and LGBTQ equality. Join Dabble Cares, the Center on Halsted, the Lakeview East Chamber of Commerce, and the French Market help Nettelhorst students make a rainbow! Yummy treats courtesy of our pals at Stan's Donuts, Wow Bow, Pastoral, and Beaver's Donuts, 3pm - 6 pm. Bring a blanket, and a picnic dinner, and an instrument if you play.

Drop in, adult required / 10am-7pm / Free

Please note: Registration for this event is not required, however it does help the school gauge interest and be sure that there are enough supplies on hand. In case of rain, event will take place on Tuesday, May 31st, or the next sunny day thereafter.

We invite you join other Nettelhorst families and friends walking in this year's Chicago Pride Parade on Sunday, June 26.
