What makes a website great? Content. Without useful and valuable content, traffic to a website suffers. That’s why having a solid content strategy to develop the right information to the right audience at the right time will help any website be successful.
Understanding the Role of a Content Strategist
This introductory session reviews the roles and responsibilities of a content strategist throughout a digital project, what you need to know to work with your digital team and a high-level understanding of basic content strategy activities, such as content inventory, content assessment and content guidelines.
In this session you will:
1. Gain a bird’s-eye view of a typical digital design project and how content strategy fits in that process
2. Learn the specific roles of a content strategist and the activities needed to complete a project
3. Get hands-on experience with creating a key content deliverables

I knew next to nothing about content strategy going into this class, and by the end I felt I had a clear understanding of the scope of the job, its typical functions and its pros and cons as a career. Rebecca had tons of info and was easy to follow.
