Session 1: Overview, strategy and common data parsing challenges
Session 2: Follow up from Session 1 and focus on the real-world challenges that the students bring

This workshop is for people who get messy data that has to be fixed before it's useful. This will be hands-on and customized. So, enrollment is limited to FIVE people.
And because this course is customized for YOU, enroll as early as you can so that you can provide sample data to me to prepare the agenda.

Data and reports come in to us from clients, vendors, IT, downloaded from the internet ... everywhere! And the data isn't ready for use.

- Report is in ALLCAPS
- Contact lists are set up to be printed as labels but you need them in sortable rows & columns.
- Duplicates that aren't easy to catch (8th Ave Library is also called Ted Patterson Memorial Library)
- Merged fields prevent you from sorting & filtering

NOW WHAT? Copy-Paste-Drag-Drop? NO!

Often simple strategies turns an all-day terror into a 10-min task. We will cover common challenges and your real-world needs, and make life simpler for you. Two examples:

1. Turning a list of contacts into sortable rows.
2. Using VLOOKUP to figure out who are the 50 people who haven't responded to an invitation.
