Event Overview
Our approach to learning to cook is all about being relaxed and having fun together: a little bit of wine, some conversation, some laughs, some bread and cheese, and a lot of cooking in between! Whatever your level of skills, you'll be challenged and entertained in this hands-on class.
In 3 hours in our professional kitchen, you will have the opportunity to cook 6 small plate dishes under the guidance of the Chef and eat the fruits of your labor! The class is very hands on. Take home the recipes and maybe a new Facebook friend or two!!!

MORE ABOUT YOUR HOST
Vincent Colombet grew up in the French countryside spending countless hours with his Alsatian grandmother in her tiny kitchen, learning his family's secret recipes. He and his cousins picked mountainside blueberries for her pies and ate meat and cheeses from neighboring farms. By the time he was 18, he was preparing elaborate meals for his family with only their wood-burning, cast-iron stove.
After spending some time in Paris, Vincent moved to Chicago in 2004. His passion for creating traditional French, family-style meals and one-bite appetizers with artistic flair gave way to him opening Cook Au Vin, where he offers French cooking classes. Known for his savory crepes, pastries and bread, Vincent also opened La Boulangerie, an authentic French bread and pastry shop.
Vincent is passionate about using fresh, organic ingredients and strives with his food to transport diners to the French countryside or to the finest restaurants in Paris.
