Event Overview

Chicago is known for tons of delicious types of food - pizza, italian beef, hot dogs. But less well known, but definitely as delicious, is its ice cream! Our Ice Cream Bike Tour takes you some of the most delicious and famous Chicago ice cream establishments. A leisurely 16ish mile bike ride through Chicago visits 4 of the City's quintessential ice cream shops. Your guide will lead you through some of the City's 77 neighborhoods, highlighting popular neighborhood sights and spots, as you make room for more frozen treats!

 

Four years ago, we combined our love of adventure and food by leading 6 friends on a ice cream bicycle crawl. We had so much fun that we have replicated it every summer. Since we have had such a blast, we decided we would love to help you explore Chicago by bike and stomach!

 

Ice Cream Bike Tour includes:

• Servings 4 distinct kinds of frozen desserts, ranging from ice cream to gelato, custard to frozen lemonade. 1 scoop/small size is included at each stop.


• Approximately 2.5 hour, 16 mile escorted tour through seven of Chicago's 77 neighborhoods

 

Make sure to bring:

• Bike rental. Our tour is BYOB - Bring Your Own Bike! For those without their own bicycle, our starting location is very close to a number of bike shops where you can get a half-day rental. If you are renting a bike, please allow extra time to arrive on time!


• A helmet. We want you to stay safe. You must bring and WEAR a helmet to participate in our tour.


• A bike lock. Again, safety. We keep an eye on bikes while we're eating ice cream, but for extra security please bring one.


• Rain gear. Our tour is (mostly) weatherproof. This means we ride in (light to moderate) rain or shine. If there is a heavy downpour or weather that makes it unsafe to ride, the tour will be cancelled.


• Extra $$. You may want to grab a beverage or another snack along the way, or you may want to tip your lovely guides at the end of the tour!

Cancellations/Tardiness/No Shows

Dabble allows participants to cancel up to 7 days before our tour for a full refund. Beyond this, any cancellation, besides those initiated by the tour, will not be refunded. Our tour begins promptly at our scheduled time, so latecomers will not receive a refund, nor will no shows.

In the event of weather cancellation, we will refund you based on the portion of the tour remaining (i.e. if we have completed two stops and then cancel, you are eligible to receive a 50% refund).
