Improv and Beer is a perfect chance for someone thinking about taking an Improv class but not sure it will be the right fit. We provide a "no pressure" atmosphere for learning traditional Improv Games and Exercises based in the style of Chicago's Second City while enjoying a couple of our city's best brews (no crap beer). 21 AND OVER ONLY! ID REQUIRED. Two beers per student are complimentary and there is a cash bar at the venue.
Our classes begin with a variety of ice-breaking games that will help classmates get to know each other quickly, followed by some hilarious scene work. No prior experience in improvisation is required for this class, only the willingness to let go and enjoy yourself. A very successful class for people who are looking to be comfortable with off-the-cuff public speaking or for someone who really enjoyed being in their high school play but haven't been on stage since.
Learn to be more spontaneous. Bring out your inner insanity and get approval for doing it. Learn to laugh at yourself.
All ages welcome

"So much fun!"
That was the overall message from each of my fellow students. The class size was just big enough to allow us to learn from and play off of each other. The concepts taught are transferable skills that can be utilized in presentations, meeting facilitation, or even just interactions in everyday life. Anthony is not only a talented performer, he has a gift for teaching.

A great experience for improv rookies. The small group and the beer made it easy to try (and fail) without an audience. And although I may never master improv, the rules of improv we learned can be taken and molded to be a better conversationalist, brainstormer, daydreamer, and parent (just to name a few).

I loved this class! I'm an introvert by nature and it was fun to step outside of my comfort zone and be creative, learn how to think on my feet a little better and have fun in front of complete strangers! The fact that it was a small class made it much more comfortable and the instructor was so encouraging and helping me bring out my inner improv!

It was a great enviornment- very laid back, but also very encouraging. The mix of socializing/beer tasting allowed everyone to feel very at ease. I also suspect it had something to do with me volunteering first for a lot of exercises- I was plesantly surprised with myself!
