Western Marbling Workshop
19 Have Dabbled
Arts & DIY
Marblling is a surface design method that dates back hundreds of years. The process goes by different names depending on where you are but the result is all the same- PURE MAGIC. You will learn to marble by floating pigments, combing through colors, and printing the designs on paper. Each participant will also get the chance to print a canvas pouch or cotton bandana!
The swirling patterns will mesmerize you and make you want to marble for hours and hours! Marbled papers can beautify a shelf or small table top, be sent as a thank you or love note, enhance a scrapbook, or be placed behind a photo or artwork as unique matting. The list goes on.
This class is meant to introduce you to the marbling process and provide you with the materials to make a couple of prints on paper and one print on fabric. This workshops will be taking place during the Grace Logan Square Craft Market! Your ticket to the workshop gets you entry into the market as well.
You may bring beverages and/or snacks, a friend, a smock or apron. That's it :)
All ages welcome
No experience required!
All materials will be provided including paper, paints, sizing, and other specific marbling utensils. You will get to choose between a cotton bandana or a canvas pouch to marble.

We had such a great time at the marbling workshop! They were great at showing us different techniques and since it was a small class we got one on one instruction. We had enough time to make a lot of cards and even got to do a cute pouch at the end! We'd definitely do another workshop with Tempered!

This class was a fun event for my husband and I & we left with some nice paper at the end. Teacher was very effective but laid back. Class was byob so we enjoyed a beer while marbling. Overall great date night.

This class was so fun! You get to instantly see your creation come to life, and there's not really a learning curve - you just get started marbling and you get interesting results right away. Definitely something to try!
