Event Overview
Successful and creative people use mind-mapping for goal-setting, writing and communication planning, vision-boarding, business planning, journaling and self-expression and many other purposes.
This introductory workshop will explain the neuroscience behind mind-mapping as well as demonstrate applications and tools to set you on the right direction. Of course, we will also allow time in class to practice various techniques.
This session will inspire you to begin or expand your mind-mapping practice to meet your goals of expanded creativity, better mental wellness and functioning, and career success.

Julie Benesh PhD, MFA is a fiction writer and professor of organizational leadership. Her short fiction has garnered many awards, including an Illinois Arts Council grant, was nominated for a Pushcart Prize, and anthologized in Bestial Noise: A Tin House Fiction Reader. She was Assistant Editor of Night Train, a short fiction journal, and on the Editorial Board of Seasonings, a journal of organization development practice. She blogs frequently on LinkedIn and has taught creative writing at the Newberry Library for many years. Julie is also Program Chair of the Organization Development Network-Chicago.
