The nature museum is a place that allows its visitors the opportunity to create an authentic connection to nature. Since the doors opened, the Museum has become one of the city's most attended institutions. The Nature Museum is known for its iconic Judy Istock Butterfly Haven and providing more hands-on science instruction than any museum in Chicago. The Academy excels in all aspects of the museum experience, citizen science initiatives, compelling public programming, its outdoor Nature Trails exhibition and much more. It is truly a place where nature and science come alive each day.
My brother and I went and really enjoyed this experience! I don't have a fancy camera so I just used my iPhone and it was great!

Plenty of coffee, plenty of photo opportunities and plenty of smiles. Good time.

The staff at the Butterfly Haven was so helpful in answering any questions throughout my time there. Having this access to photograph these amazing butterflies without the general public was pure joy. Thank you for this experience. I only took 643 photos today. :-D I can't wait for the next opportunity to do this.

Since this was not a true class I cannot comment on the teacher or course content. This was a very nice event. I enjoyed being in the butterfly haven with only a handful of people and room to roam and make pictures. The attendants were extremely knowledgeable and friendly. Overall it was a great way to spend a few hours enjoying flowers and butterflies in the dead of winter. Thanks for a nice event!
