Chicago Mural Painting Workshop
Artist Mr. Samara will guide you through the process of creating a pre-drawn-out mural of the Chicago skyline overlapping the Chicago flag. No experience is required! This is a fun introduction to mural painting on a 3’x4’ foot canvas stapled to the wall. At the end of the workshop, you can roll up the mural and take it home with you!
Attendees
For a more personalized experience, space is limited to 2 attendees. This will ensure time for personal instruction while we paint the mural. This is a great activity for date nights, couples, and friends. Also, No prior experience is necessary to paint a mural! The Artist will coach you on how to paint the mural best.
What to Wear
Painting a mural is messy, so please wear clothing that you do not mind getting paint on them. Acrylic house paint will not come out of clothing or footwear. Aprons will be available if you wish to use them.

18 years or older
Parent or guardian required if under 18
What's Provided
Acrylic house paint, brushes, aprons, a pre-gessoed canvas painting surface, and an introduction to color theory, design, and mural painting techniques will be provided.

Mr. Gyan Samara is an American artist residing in Chicago. He holds an MFA in painting and an M.Ed in general education. He offers private and group classes in Studio Arts, Mural Painting, and Plein Air Landscape Painting. Mr. Samara has been painting for 30 years in all mediums, teaching students of all ages for 20 years, and painting and teaching mural workshops for 10 years.
As a fauvist-realist, Mr. Samara's artwork reflects how he sees color and movement in life. His gestures express his passions, creating rich, energetic, and vivid lines of color.
