New to Sewing? Returning to Sewing? Want to improve your skills? Want to learn how to sew like a pro with garment industry techniques that have been adapted for home sewing equipment? Want to have fun?

Whatever your personal sewing level, Certified Islander Sewing Systems Instructor, Laura Wyatt, will show you the Sew Better Sew Faster sewing techniques that are based on garment industry sewing practices. This class is all about optimizing your sewing time, space and technique. You will produce samples to take home for reference. The modern sew-ist will learn to eliminate pins and basting and learn modern industrial shortcuts.

You will need to bring your sewing machine.

Laura is from Gary. IN and currently resides in Chicago's Logan Square neighborhood. This mother of two grown children has been sewing for fun and profit for many years and specializes in garment sewing. She has taught many people to sew in the comfort of her studio and prefers small classes where she can focus on the details.
