Event Overview
Bring a friend and make one-of-a-kind embroidered paper Valentines! We will start by designing and sketching our designs, and students will have the option of using pre-made templates such as the one featured in the class photo.
Students will learn three basic embroidery stitches- the french knot, back stitch, and satin stitch which will allow them to embroidery lettering, filled designs, and decorative patterns. We will also have the option to use embellishments such as sequins and beads if embroidery just isn't enough. Students are encouraged to have a simple idea ready before class so they can focus on bedazzling and embellishments, and inspiration can be silly, sweet, sassy, or obscene!

TOP RATED
Ashley has a degree in Art from the University of Wyoming, with a focus on printmaking and drawing. She has been teaching workshops and classes on printmaking and fiber arts at the University of Wyoming as well at Red Delicious Press here in Colorado, where she is a member. Independently she has been teaching herself quilting and fiber arts such as embroidery and block printing on fabric for four years or so, and is also basically a professional bedazzler of objects.
