Ready to take the next step in Welding?
This class will give you the essentials in TIG welding which is a much more versatile process than MIG. In the first part of class we will discuss safety, welding techniques, various types of welds and machine settings. In the second half of the workshop, you will get a chance to try your hand at welding mild steel, stainless steel and aluminum.
Whether you are an aspiring artist, handyman or just curious about how TIG welding works, you'll be off and running in no time.
Directions to studio: Upon arrival to class, park in front of the main building (4 Axis Machining), walk around the building to the left, and unit K10 is located in the building directly behind.
All ages welcome

I took the intro class from Nick and thought it would be cool to see what TIG is all about too. TIG was great, a bit more art to it, you have to keep both hands and a foot engaged in the process, but it makes a really pretty weld. Great class again, very practical. Awesome that you get to practice there.

We have a 16 yr old high school sophomore son with ADHD. I had been worried about him being successful in college. At the same time that I heard about Nick's classes, my son became interested in welding. This was the perfect way to get a hands on introduction to welding to see if he liked it before signing up for the Tech school. Nick did a great job explaining everything really well and the hands on got our son hooked.

WELDING IS RAD. I had no idea there was so much science to it and Nick was great about giving us an overview. He was knowledgeable and patient with us and got me even more excited about it. I highly recommend taking his class! (I also recommend another class as a prerequisite so you can get even more out of it.)

Been wanting to learn TIG as I have some aluminum to weld for personal projects and Nick made it super easy. He was also willing to stray from the course plan and help some of the guys attending with their own problems (welding REALLY thin stuff together). It was a new experience for everyone there. fabulous.
