Event Overview

Binding a book sounds so constrictive - all those pages confined together. Wouldn't it be nice if you could let the pages be free? Imagine unfurling your book and displaying every page at the same time....

The picture you have in your mind is a lot like an accordion book. This workshop will cover three different types of accordion book construction.

I will provide all the supplies you need. Just bring your creativity!

Whether you are an artist, a writer, or just a creative type, this workshop is for you. You will learn how accordion books can function as pieces of visual art, as well as consider ways an accordion book can display your literary expression.

The possibilities are endless once you have created an accordion book!

Jessie Whitehead brings her 20+ years of teaching experience to bear in DIY Accordion Books. She has learned and taught just about every type of studio art, and all of these disciplines can be used to decorate the pages of an accordion book. She looks forward to helping students learn how to work with this fun and versatile format.
