Event Overview
Earth Day is coming up! Celebrate by dancing to an iconic song released the year of the very first Earth Day: 1970!
In this workshop, we will learn a dance to the Doors' "Peace Frog" in the style of the era. The choreographer and instructor is Kaara Kallen, co-director of '60s-style go-go troupe the Revelettes.
The dance is simple, fun, and authentic to its time. By the time you leave, you will have mastered the dance, which you are welcome to bust out at karaoke bars, parties, and crowded el cars; you will have gained insight into your own dance-move repertoire and style; and you will have had an amazing time.
Dancing from this era is ridiculously fun--and a good workout, too!

MORE ABOUT YOUR HOST
She is a director of The Revelettes, a '60-style go-go troupe, as well as a principle choreographer for Old Skool Cardio Dance and a guest choreographer for Girl Group Chicago, and an instructor of various dance and cardio-dance forms. Kaara first found her dancing feet in the humble confines of a YMCA step-aerobics class in 1995 and went on to discover a world of moving pursuits, including capoeira, go-go, hooping, salsa, swing, yoga, and various cardio-dance forms. Kaara believes that dancing is just about the best thing you can do for your body, heart, mind, and soul, and is excited to share the love.
