Event Overview

Artists, art lovers and anyone interested in figure drawing is welcome!

All skill levels, aesthetics and mediums are welcome.

I am very excited to announce that once again I will be hosting the experimental figure drawing workshop (previously held at Studio 205 of the Cornelia Arts Building in Roscoe Village). Anyone that has attended my workshops in the past knows that is a very chill environment. The idea is to enjoy drawing, whether you are a beginner or a professional artist, in a relaxed ambiance. Our new home at Positive Space Studios in Logan Square is a great and ample setting. The Open Studio Figure Drawing Workshop is perfect to learn, practice or experiment using your favorite medium at your own pace, in your style. If your a seasoned artist, you'll love it, and if you are a newbie, you'll love it too! There is no pressure and no judgement.

Note to professional artists: This is an amazing environment to loosen up and get your creative juices going. In my previous sessions, professional artists (sculptors, painters, and mixed media), especially those who break away from non-traditional forms, benefited the most from these sessions.

Positive Space Studios is located at 3520 W Fullerton Avenue in Logan Square. Workshops take place every other Thrusday, 7-9:30 PM (days may change) and there is plenty of street parking.

This is what you need:

  • Bring your supplies, paper/drawing pads, charcoals, pencils, ink, (knead) eraser.

  • You must be at least 18 years of age.

This is a fun workshop! If you want to take a break from your busy day or your studio practice for a minute this is the place to come!
