Custom Cancellation Policy

Please Note: This experience has a minimum of 4 students required to go forward. You'll be notified if it is below minimum 7 days in advance. If the minimum is not met 24 hours before the event, you’ll have the opportunity to transfer to another date or Dabble experience, or receive a refund. Custom Cancellation Policy PLEASE...No transfers or refunds 7 days or LESS from your class date! This is in line with Dabble's standard cancellation policy. If MORE than 7 days from your booked workshop, please log in and use Dabble's tool from your account dashboard to move yourself between schedules OR reach out to us or Dabble for support. If 7 days or LESS from your booked workshop, we are not likely able to support your request. We totally understand that things come up AND we have a business and a busy schedule of classes and private events… We get sick. You get sick. Things happen and we ask that you first try to gift or sell the spots in your booked experience to anyone and just send us a message if someone else is going to use your tickets. Believe us... We want to be flexible but after many years of hosting these workshops, it seems more frequent that guests are requesting transfers and refunds 1-2 days before a scheduled class or even the day of the event. Many of our classes have been sold out for weeks and if we open up your spots and they don't fill then we lose money for that date and that's just not fair to us. We will try to review special circumstances and can work with Dabble to open up your spots within reason (death in family, COVID, car accidents/breakdowns, delayed flights, etc) and if the spots fill before your booked date, we can transfer your spots to a future date but please help us stay sane and focused on what we do best as a small business and not having to focus our energy on someone who can't attend our local creative experience instead of those who can. Thanks for understanding!

MORE ABOUT YOUR HOST

After receiving her BFA from Alfred University in 1992 Leslie Speicher travelled the country finally choosing Seattle, WA as her home. During this time she was a TA and AA at Pilchuck Glass School, Instructor at Urban Glass in Brooklyn, NY and Red Deer College in Alberta, CA. Residencies include Urban Glass, Hastings College and Pratt Fine Arts Center. Leslie has shown her glasswork, sculptures and installations in Seattle, NYC, Miami, Philadelphia and Chicago. She then decided to return to school to get her Masters so she could teach at the college level. In 2004, she received her MFA from the University of Illinois. Her teaching career took her first to the University of Miami where she taught 3D Design. Leslie then taught at the Cleveland Institute of Art as an Adjunct in the Glass Department before moving to Chicago, IL after her solo show at the Museum of Surgical Science in 2006.
No matter what she is making her aspiration is to create pieces with unique character, which are thought provoking and visually pleasing. Leslie’s interest in exploring materials leads her to create narratives between design, texture, form and color. Every piece is one-of-a-kind, designed and handcrafted by the artist.

Leslie is the owner of Chicago Glass Collective in Chicago, IL where she also teaches and makes her work.
