Print a cocktail hour themed coaster & leave with a set of 20 handmade items for your home!
Join us for Happy Hour & print your own 4 inch drink coasters. Participants will trade with others in the workshop, so each person has a selection of coasters to take home!
Come with a phrase or cocktail recipe in mind, or peruse our collection of antique type & vintage cocktail books for inspiration.
Students will learn letterpress basics like composing movable type, locking up designs in a chase and mixing ink by hand. Each person will also get a chance to print on our 1920s platen press!

Cancellation Policy
Elizabeth Isakson-Dado is an artist and musician working in installation, hand papermaking, letterpress printing and new media. She holds a Bachelors of Fine Arts in Printmaking from Wayne State University (2004), and a Masters of Fine Arts in Interdisciplinary Book & Paper Art from Columbia College Chicago (2013). Her paintings and artist's books have been shown at Detroit Contemporary, Cranbrook Academy of Art and the Center for Book & Paper Arts.
Elizabeth was named Top 20 in their 20's by Crain's Detroit Business, Lyceum Visiting Artist at University of Michigan Press, Featured Emerging Artist at Wyandotte Art Fair and has received an Access Arts Grant for Public Art in Detroit. She has also taught as Adjunct Instructor for the undergraduate Intro to Letterpress class at Columbia College Chicago. Elizabeth runs Tandem Felix Letterpress with her husband, Jamiel.
