Event Overview

Photography has two sides, we might say, equating to the left and right sides of our brain: Technical and Creative. A technically correct photo isn't necessarily a creative, interesting or dramatic one. Technically correct photos may not hold your viewers attention as long as you'd like in this instant world, so let's take your photos to the next level and get creative!

In this highly interactive class, you will:

1. Learn and practice using a set of elements that is a foundation of all photos, whether consciously or subconsciously aware

2. Learn to tweak (That's tweak, not twerk!) with some very simple steps often forgotten or missed when rushing

It's time to take your photography to the next level!

 Who will benefit most from participation:

- Participants who completed my Composition Basics class

- New camera owners who have taken the "settings" workshops / boot camps and are ready for the next step

- Anyone convinced they don't have a creative bone in their body but have the desire to capture life around them

- Someone planning an upcoming trip / vacation who wants to do more than "click and go"

- Novice, hobbyist, smartphone user

- Professional photographers who are experiencing a creative block or want to be reminded of simple tools to help bring them out of a creative block when it strikes

 

Please NOTE: This is NOT a class to learn the settings / buttons on your camera. You should have a comfortable understanding of your gear before arriving.

What to Bring

Camera, empty/formatted memory card and/or
Smartphone with enough space to take more photos
Fully charged batteries

Minimum age

All ages welcome

Prerequisites

Either:
1. My Composition Basics class
2. Basic photography workshop / boot camp to learn and understand the basics of photography (i.e. Aperture, ISO, shutter speed) and your camera settings
