Redefine the Story:  Introduction to the Altered Book Process


In this 4 hour workshop, participants will take a moment for themselves and explore the benefits of art and creativity through the process of altered book making.  Participants will be encouraged to try a wide range of materials to transform a book into a work of art.  The instructor will provide support, art interventions/techniques and guidance as the participants engage in the art making process.  This group is designed to provide a space for individuals to experience a new way to see and interact with a book.  Open to anyone, no art making experience required! 


 


Snacks will be provided. 

What to Bring

Creativity and an open mind to new art processes.

Minimum age

All ages welcome

What's Provided

All materials will be provided, however if you have a old/used hard covered book that you would like to transform please feel free to bring it.

Caroline Tye is the owner of Dandelion Art Studio and also works as an art therapist at a therapeutic day school. Caroline uses the creative process and her therapeutic skills to work with children and adolescents who are diagnosed with a range of mental illnesses and behavioral issues. She brings an enthusiastic, passionate, and nurturing approach to all of her clients and students.
