Event Overview

Master the shift dress with Anastasia and then make them at home in every color and print imaginable!

In this class you will learn the following.

How to size the shift dress pattern to yourself

How to cut out a woven fabric

How to make a narrow rolled hem

How to serge curves and corners

How to achieve a professional look to your garment

You also have the option to putting side seam pockets or patch pockets on your dress.

This is a one day sewing class with all of the supplies included. You will receive the sewing pattern in class in your size so you make make them at home after you master making it with Anastasia. Class also includes thread, fabric and anything else you will need to complete the shift dress. You will have tons of options for fabrics to choose from or you can bring your own. I will also have 4 embroidery machines set up so that you can add an embroidery or name to your dress.

Sew Anastasia

Anastasia Chatzka is a Chicago based fashion designer with over 20 years of sewing, pattern drafting, and design experience. She has refined her skills through the years while working with renowned industry professionals, including Betsey Johnson and Anna Sui. Anastasia also has a BFA in fashion design. She is also a brand ambassador for Husqvarna Viking sewing machines.

Anastasia is the owner of the Anastasia Chatzka clothing line and Sew Anastasia Sewing Studio where she designs, teaches sewing classes, and films the content for her YouTube sewing channel, Sew Anastasia.
