Go thrifting and find some old clothes and make them new again!
Week 1 - Basics techniques for taking clothes apart and refinishing the edges - bring in anything that you would like to upcycle and I will help you with your techniques and finishing of the garment.
Week 2 - 1st half of class is altering pants 2nd half is open studio - bring a pair of pants that need tailoring along with additional upcycle projects.
Week 3 - 1st half of class is altering a sweater hem, neckline and sleeve length 2nd half of class is open studio - bring a sweater you don't love plus additional upcycle projects.
You will need to bring basic supplies like seam ripper, scissors, matching thread and the clothes that you would like to work on and any additional trims or materials that you would like to add to them.

Class will meet for 3 weeks on Tuesday evening

You must know a few basics of sewing. If you do not you should looking into the basic sewing class that I teach.

Anastasia Chatzka is a Chicago based fashion designer with over 20 years of sewing, pattern drafting, and design experience. She has refined her skills through the years while working with renowned industry professionals, including Betsey Johnson and Anna Sui. Anastasia also has a BFA in fashion design. She is also a brand ambassador for Husqvarna Viking sewing machines.
Anastasia is the owner of the Anastasia Chatzka clothing line and Sew Anastasia Sewing Studio where she designs, teaches sewing classes, and films the content for her YouTube sewing channel, Sew Anastasia.
