Event Overview

In this single session deep-dive, we'll increase your skill and understanding of the pottery wheel. Under the guidance of a master artist, you'll get tips to help conquer new goals for your work. Whether you're currently enrolled in a study program, learning at home, or took a course long ago, this is for you. Only 2 students per session!


Take advantage of this unique opportunity to take time out and invest in yourself for the New Year! Find a peaceful focus, gain confidence and deepen your appreciation for the art of ceramics.

Minimum age

16 years or older

Prerequisites

It will be most helpful if you have taken a wheel-throwing class before.

Heather McQueen

Heather McQueen is an accomplished ceramic artist, working primarily in the low-fire range. Her work varies from drums and sculptural vessels to utilitarian, country-style tableware. She enjoys inspiring others through her work, from one-on-one lessons to Visiting Artist Residencies.
Heather's claywork has been published ("From Mud to Music", "500 Raku") and featured in a nationally televised promo (US Cellular). She is a graduate of the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, and maintains an independent ceramic studio in Chicago's Lakeview neighborhood.
