Mindful Indulgences demystifies the art of making truffles in a fun and engaging manner with a unique tutorial. During this experience, guests will sample an organic vegan separate course soup and salad with locally sourced produce, individually hand craft a duo of chocolate truffles and discover the nutritional value & holistic properties of each ingredient. Guests will also sample a wine pairing selected to compliment each confection. At the end, everyone will receive two complimentary Mindful Indulgences to accompany their handcrafted truffles (approximately 4).

Nicole Melanie Davis is a Baltimore native, sculptor, installation and culinary artist. After undergrad studies at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago in Sculpture and Visual & Critical Studies and graduate school studies at the Rhode Island School of Design in Sculpture, she completed a culinary arts internship with the Rebuild Foundation. In 2014 Davis founded and developed Mindful Indulgences, an artisanal collection of conscientiously crafted and curated organic, vegan and gluten free confections.
Mindful Indulgences are created out of an awareness of how food impacts our well-being and quality of life. Each conscientiously curated confection is made with certified organic, vegan, and fair-trade semi-sweet chocolate and infused with certified organic and fair trade super spices. The nutritional value of each truffle is as much about the healthful nutrient rich ingredients used as it is about the ingredients they do not contain. The highest quality chocolate and Ayurvedic spices are selected with the confidence that each confection is healthful and sustainable.
I have been following Mindful Indulgences for some time. I love their truffles. I was delighted to find out that Nicole Melanie Davis, founder and CEO of Mindful Indulgences, was hosting a truffle making class that I could attend. I have heard rave reviews about her classes and was so happy that I could attend.
Nicole had a clear plan on the truffles that we would make, provided us with step by step instructions on how to make the most delectable organic, vegan and gluten free truffles. In addition to the truffle making tutorial, she served delicious black bean soup, salad and healthy appetizers. The dinner conversation was engaging and lively and Ms. Nicole Melanie Davis is an exemplary hostess.
At the end of the class, not only did we take home a healthy portion of the truffles that we made, but she also gave us some of her signature truffles. After the class, Nicole promptly followed up with the written recipes and important information.
