A Slow-Smoked Vegan Feast
6 Have Dabbled
Food & Drink
Urban living can be faster paced than anyone is ever really ready to handle. We move fast-- and we eat fast-- while trying to stay fresh and healthy. So the long, slow smoked goodness of country BBQ is a rarity in the city, especially when we or the company we keep lean toward the vegan side of life.
But just because you don't have seven hours and a slab of meat to work with doesn't mean you can't enjoy the rich smokey flavor of some down home Southern cookin'. Come hungry and ready to learn in this Dabble class that'll teach you how to set up an apartment-friendly and vegan-friendly slow smoker in your kitchen.
The afternoon will start with smoke and end with a fiery 3 part feast as we prepare a huge smoked vegetable medley, a deep applewood smoked seitan chili and, for an unexpected twist, a green tea smoked tofu stir fry. Yum!
Bring some drinks to share and a knife you’re comfortable working with in the kitchen, and when we're in line for our feast, remember: no cutting in front of us! We won't be able to wait another minute to dig in ;).
