Basket weaving is not just for those for those inspired by fiber but rather is quite suitable for clay. The examples shown are just one of many options. Students will start of by sketching ideas and individually formulate a plan with Sarah (the instructor). The class will be led with step by step instructions with lots of ways to personalize and customize for each students design. SBAP provides all of the supplies for creating but please feel free to bring your own drinks and snacks and RELAX you DO NOT have to know what you are doing BEGINNNERS are always welcome!

SBAP Provides all of the supplies but when you finish your project there is a $3-$9 charge (depending on size) for firing and glazin.
Cancellation Policy
Eyan Mullet has been working as an SBAP Resident Teaching Artist for three years.
Eyan produces functional and sculptural pottery and has an extensive background in Ceramics and Sculpture with a Bachelor of Fine Arts with an emphasis in Sculpture from Southeast Missouri. Eyan has showed his work at many galleries throughout rural and urban Missouri. Eyan has worked for Southeast Missouri State University as a Sculpture Studio Teaching Assistant, and Gallery Assistant. Eyan began his life long artistic journey in childhood learing all about the art and craft of ceramics from his mother who is a Potter. Eyan believes working with students of all ages provides him with a great opportunity and responsibility to pass on the knowledge he acquired from teachers he truly admired.
Sarah Rye Bliss is the Executive and Artisitc Director of SBAP. For the past 15 years Sarah has been designing patterns for Architectural Ceramics, Painted Spaces, and Textiles as well as teaching in traditional and non-traditional settings working with children and adults of all ages. If you are a student at SBAP you will see Sarah in the studio assisting with demos as well as doing her own work
