Event Overview

This class will cover the basic fundamentals of Copperplate calligraphy, and follow Eleanor Winters’ book “Mastering Copperplate Calligraphy: A Step-by-Step Manual”.

Dabblers will start by learning the basic uses of pen & ink, followed by the basic strokes of Copperplate, as well as its minuscule and capital letters. We will touch on the variations of letters and connections. The class will also include the basic vocabulary of calligraphy as well as the tools you need to execute the art of Copperplate.

This class is perfect for a bride-to-be, a DIY gift-giver for the holidays or just someone curious about the art of Calligraphy.

What to Bring

K100-B Copperplate Kit: Basics with Book; Canson Marker Pro Layout Pad – 9″x12″ (or similar marker-weight paper); 15″ metal ruler; Kneaded Eraser; 3H or 4H Pencil
