Event Overview

Create with your mom, with other moms, for your mom, to honor your own journey in motherhood! This is a special mala class in honor of mothers everywhere! It's time you celebrate yourself.

Also a May 7 Malas & Mimosas Brunch http://bit.ly/1WLmNvi

You'll learn to make a 108-bead hand-knotted beaded necklace and tassel. With over 24 types of stone beads, you'll tap into your creative flow to design something amazing. You can't get it wrong! It's meditative and fun. You'll end up with a piece of art you wear and will always cherish.

The word “mala” means "heavenly garland" or "necklace", and it is used as a tool for meditation or prayer and as a beautiful talisman. A mala or prayer/power beads is traditionally used as a tool for meditation. If you don’t want to meditate, the metaphysical properties of the crystals, or Earth-made stone beads, provide the wearer with metaphysical benefits. You can dedicate your stones to healing, protection, or other intentions. And if you don’t believe in that, there are great and powerful benefits related to creativity, crafting, connection, and community, and to creating & having something beautiful that you made with your own two hands in the midst of a supportive group of fellow crafter-creator-artists, engaged with the senses just for the pure joy of it!
