Arts & DIY
Design and create your own wonderful origami bag! Beginner levels and up can make it, and it's easy, stylish, and has a lot of room to hold a bunch of your important items, like a hairbrush, or a bag of chips, or a candy bar and your kombucha, scarf, and journal! And then some. You could even throw in some groceries and a ukulele. Okay, maybe it's not a Mary Poppins bag, but it truly is quite roomy!
Not only will you learn skills to grow your sewing abilities in this class, but you'll leave with a completed project that you'll fall in love with.
Required Materials: (Bring or buy and receive 15% off of your fabric the day of class.)
- 3 fat quarters
- 1/2 yard coordinating fabric for interior of bag
NOTE: Feel free to bring your sewing machine if you would like to learn how to use it, but for ease, sewing machines are available for use on site as well. If you bring your own, please brings its respective components to sew easily. We *may* be able to help you figure it out. But if not you can use one of ours!
See Required Materials above and receive 15% off purchases the day of class.

I have a mission! I want to bring people together to create, and grow a collective of curious creatives and artists in arms who wish to share their passion for making and hand crafting beautiful things for the pure joy of it.
Just this December, a dream came true for me. I now have a space to call home for all of my passions. It's a boutique fabric nook and makerspace in RiNo, where I host all my classes, sell amazing modern fabric, beads, and jewelry. Come see us at 3327 Brighton Blvd. Denver, CO 80216. (Hours are posted on the website.)
As far as my creativity philosophy goes, I believe all art comes from the soul, the architect, and the hands and eyes are the builders for those inspired ideas. When we make I get lost in the process and drop all judgements and lock away the inner critic, allowing myself to simply play. Altogether, I am a fabric, quilt, music, bead and jewelry enthusiast, but I want to gather makers of all arts to inspire, support each other, and share. I'd love to build a creative community, and bring together others who have a passion for making things. I also sing, play a few instruments, and write inspiring songs with my darling songstress sisters, the Leaders of the Heart and Starling, in Denver and Boulder. I hope to join forces in creative bliss.
This class was so much fun - I love making things with clever construction. The teacher was wonderful, and I can’t wait to take another class from her. And a big plus 😆 - there’s parking.

This was such a fun and pleasant class! Jen is so talented, warm and encouraging. Her studio is delightful, with plenty of sewing machines and so many gorgeous fabrics. Jen clearly explained each step of the process and I left with the prettiest origami bag at the end of the night. I highly recommend this class!

Jen had really cool fabric to choose from and I’m very happy with how my bag turned out. It was an easy project for a beginner and she was a good instructor.

So much fun to learn how to make a completed sewing machine project. Jen is very patient and has lots of different patterns of fabric to pick from if you don’t want to use your own.
