Ashley Vaughters, head sommelier/instructor for Mistral Wine Co., has put together an incredible class for you, along with Devin Lamma of Whole Foods Cherry Creek! While learning the basic principles of putting wine with the proper cheese, also gain insight into some of this country's best selections in both categories of pure bliss. Their enthusiasm for their craft is apparent, and their goal is to make wine & cheese terminology/tasting more accessible to you so you might find enrichment in your own daily moments of enjoyment.

Owner of Mistral Wine Co., LLC., Ashley Hausman Vaughters CS, CWS, started her wine career in New York City, where she attained her Masters in American and English Literature at New York University, but saw the opportunity for wine education in Denver, CO. She is a Certified Sommelier through the Court of Master Sommeliers, a Certified Specialist of Wine through the Society of Wine Educators, and a Spanish Wine Expert through the Spanish Wine Academy and a buyer for Little’s Wine & Spirits in South Denver. She is nearly finished with her Diploma through the Wine and Spirit Education Trust, then plans to pursue the Master of Wine. She teaches at Alliance Francaise, Colorado Free University, A Bottled Affair as well as private and corporate functions. Ashley has worked with PBS, The Museum of Nature and Science, the University of Denver as well as several local restaurants. She consults on small business, private cellars and personal wine investment.Ashley Vaughters believes that to be a good instructor, one must be a constant student.
