The Mediterranean wines of the Languedoc, crisp whites of the Loire, sun-kissed reds of the Rhone and high altitude alpine wines of Savoie are just a few of the wine regions that will be pedaled past at this year's Tour de France. Celebrate this 100 year old cycling race by meeting like minds over tastes from the rigorous route (I can tell you--we have the better end of the bargain!).
There will be pictures, trivia and stories to be told as well as a little more insight into some of these incredible wine regions themselves. The instructor, Ashley Vaughters, has been fortunate to sip her way through this age old race literally a couple of times-- an experience she wants to relive with all of you!
And so, block it out in your calendar, invite a few cycling-wine friends and prepare to have an evening of great wine, stories and cycling camaraderie! It truly changes the way you watch the race, as you can enjoy seeing footage of all the vineyards you will have tasted and learned about ahead of time!
All ages welcome

This class was fantastic! Ashley designed and taught a very fun and interesting class - not only did I learn more than I ever thought possible about vine (think soil acidity and vine character), but it was all set against the Tour de France route. It was fascinating to learn about the history of the race and what it takes to compete. Ashley's passion and knowledge was contagious and it was a pleasure to learn from her!

Great class! I'm by no means a wine connoisseur, but Ashley made the class accessible to all levels of wine enthusiasts, even a novice like myself. Structuring the class along a route, in this case the Tour de France, helped give the wine knowledge she conveyed great depth, providing a context for our tasting. On top of that, her overview of the Tour de France could have been a outstanding stand alone Dabble class on its own. Look forward to taking more classes from Ashley in the future.

This class was so much fun. I'm no wine connoisseur, but Ashley's passion for wine is contagious. She struck the balance between different levels in the group and took a refreshing stance on wine - it doesn't have to be expensive or snooty to be wonderful. I can't wait to take another class with Ashley and push my knowledge further.
