Event Overview
Make a hanging wood wall sconce with wood pieces, metal strapping, hardware and paper faux antique clock faces. The finished candle holder can hold a votive candle jar for a battery powered candle. All materials included except votive candle jar and candle.
What you will learn:
- Basic wood joinery
- Painting and sanding to create a distressed finish
- How to attach things with screws and bolts
- Basic decoupage techniques for laminating paper to wood without wrinkles
What to Bring
Please wear clothing that you don't mind getting glue and paint on!

What's Provided
We will provide loan of tools to complete the project plus pre-cut wood pieces, paint, metal parts, hardware and faux clock faces.

Carolyn was born in St. Louis, Missouri and currently lives in Brentwood, Missouri. Besides art and crafts, she enjoys gardening, outdoor activities, nature, writing, road trips and unusual animals.
Carolyn currently teaches crafts at Schnarr's Hardware, JoAnn Fabrics and Crafts and Perennial. As a member of the 2018 Canvas Corp Creative Crew, she is involved in writing project tutorials and making sample craft projects. She has been published in craft magazines and on craft product web sites and has published many tutorials and craft patterns for her own web sites.
