Event Overview

Make a handy message center with a chalkboard and clipboard clip for holding messages. A little drawer at the bottom holds chalk, small notepads, and other handy items. I'll show you how to nail and glue the wood pieces together, make a chalkboard out of recycled cardboard, and attach hardware. All materials are included in the price of the class.

What's Provided

We will provide wood, hardware, and materials for making the chalkboard. Tools will be on loan to use during the class. We recommend wearing old clothes because we'll be using glue and paint.

Carolyn Hasenfratz Winkelmann

Carolyn was born in St. Louis, Missouri and currently lives in Affton, Missouri. Besides art and crafts, she enjoys gardening, outdoor activities, nature, writing, road trips and unusual animals.

Carolyn currently teaches crafts at Schnarr's Hardware, JoAnn Fabrics and Crafts and Perennial. As a member of the 2018 Canvas Corp Creative Crew, she is involved in writing project tutorials and making sample craft projects. She has been published in craft magazines and on craft product web sites and has published many tutorials and craft patterns for her own web sites.
