Calling all 80s babies, 90s gals, and Gen Z steeped in Netflix nostalgia. We are parting like its 1989 and making scrunchies.
In this workshop, maker and 90s gal Lydia Crespo, will lead you through an easy scrunchie sewing technique. Each participant will make and take 3 scrunchies.
Dates: March 7: 10 - 11am, March 14: 5 - 6pm, March 20: 6 - 7pm, March 27: 6 - 7pm, March 28: 10 - 11am.
All ages welcome
All materials will be provided: Fabric, needle, thread, and elastic.
Cancellation Policy
Argaman&Defiance creates 100% silk scarves naturally dyed by hand in our studio located in St. Charles, Mo. We use natural dye extracts responsibly collected from tree bark, roots, and leaves. We then hand paint or print a unique design on each piece.
From stitch to surface design, Argaman&Defiance is creating every piece by hand.
Lydia Crespo attended the School of the Art Institute of Chicago (SAIC) graduating in 2010. She received the James Nelson Raymond Fellowship from SAIC upon graduation. Crespo used the funds from the fellowship to start her business, Argaman&Defiance.
In 2018, Argaman&Defiance studio moved to the Foundry Art Centre located in St. Charles, MO.
Argaman&Defiance collection is available in over 50 boutiques throughout the US. A&D has designed for Urban Outfitters, West Elm, Target, and Huckberry.
Crespo has featured on NBC Morning Chicago, WGN's Around Town Chicago, and Craft Room Crash speaking about her collection. Most recently Argaman&Defiance was highlighted in Chicago Magazine “Best of Chicago”, Chicago Tribune “16 Things We Love”, and marthastewart.com.
