I am a full time maker and artist living in Chicago, IL. My company, Argaman & Defiance, creates 100% silk scarves and apparel naturally dyed by hand. We cut, sew, print, and dye everything by hand in Chicago, IL. I have been teaching and leading workshops for three years.
My mom, my sister, and I attended this class as an early Mother's Day present for our mom. We ended up being the only 3 to sign up and we were treated to a private class with Lydia! We had an absolute blast listening to Lydia as she explained her process and the different types of natural dyes that she uses. She also shared about the projects that she has done in the past as well as those currently in the works. Her passion for what she does is truly apparent! We got to make 1 naturally dyed towel each and then, as an added bonus, ended up getting to play around with tie-dying. Lydia was very accommodating and helpful throughout the evening, assisting us as we went and allowing us to take our time. She is so personable, engaging, and a great teacher. I can't speak highly enough about the personal and unique experience that my mom, sister, and I were treated to during this Dabble class. I'd highly recommend it!
