Ellen is the President of Feather-Light Living Enterprises, a life coaching business dedicated to holistic health and happiness. She also specializes in higher education consulting and homeschool mentoring. Her background includes years of study at top universities, such as UC/Berkeley, MIT and Stanford, in an array of subjects including, but not limited to, music, virtual reality and health lifestyle education. She has had years of study and practice in natural living: natural healing and parenting, supporting the local business and supporting organic products. She has hosted numerous holistic health round tables at natural food stores, restaurants and spiritual businesses in Columbia, St. Louis and Marco Island, FL. She is a practitioner at the Center for Mind, Body and Spirit and the Living Insight Center, both based here in St. Louis. She loves to share her understanding, while always drawing from the wonder and understanding others bring to the table.
If for no other reason, attend for the food!
The venue is a scratch kitchen restaurant that provides a few delightful courses throughout the evening.
Class is an intimate setting around the table that invites fellowship while munching and crunching. It is an introduction to alternative options in medicine and health, and our leader, Ellen, lives what she 'preaches' (^^). She provides a reservoir of personal experience when sharing her lifestyle choices, and happily welcomes the other participants' questions and opinions with respect and ease. Ellen is genuine, and I for one felt quite safe discussing unusual and what some call unconventional topics of medicine and diet despite my minimal exposure to the subject (this class was a good place to start learning more). It was good company and discussion.
Happiness and Mindfulness is not just a religious/philosophical orientation. It can be applied to all tenants of one's life - and that's the crux of this class: being mindful of our choices in any area of our lives and how such can contribute to our reasonable happiness.
Cheers!
