Gather round Dabblers...we have a special treat for you! Shani Silver, former Chicago editor of Refinery 29 will be in town for this limited edition, one-time only Dabble class to give you the low-down on all things blogging.

Whether you're thinking of starting a new blog, or looking to improve an existing one, Blogging Basics is a must. The class will cover everything from naming your blog, to structuring your blog posts and content, to making sure your blog stands out in a sea of others, and much much more. Blogging Basics tackles all aspects of the blogging world, from best practices in frequency and length of posts, or social media outreach efforts. It will also address blog posts artwork and photos. All genreas of bloggers are welcome, feel free to come with questions about any type of blog you like.

Learn how to draw in (and keep!) new followers and fans, by making your blog unique, clear, and engaging. Instead of guessing at how to make your blog better, learn how, and put what you'll learn to good use as you create the blog you've always wanted.

It was great that it was taught by someone many of the class members were familiar with and obviously has been successful at blogging. The class was structured enough that a lot of information was covered, but carefree enough that people felt comfortable to interact and ask questions.

The Instructor. She was very knowledgeable, providing real-world examples throughout the class but also funny and easy to listen to.

It is absolutely clear to me, through her energy and attention, that Shani truly loves what she does. If you don't love what you do, you won't ever be good at it. She is great at all of it. Time was taken to follow the class outline all while taking thoughtful time for questions from the class. I think we all had a chance to benefit from each other through our shared experiences.

Extremely helpful comprehensive do's and don'ts for blogging. I learned A LOT of helpful tips. I can say I am glad I attended this seminar before my blog obtained a large following. The creative space used was amazing. I pulled a lot of design inspiration from the space itself. I would definitely attend another seminar at the Catalyst Ranch. Shani was an excellent speaker. She was able to articulate a lot of things I had picked up reading blogs that I could never myself explain. Obviously her experience speaks volumes to the knowledge she shared, and I cannot express how much I appreciated that!

Shani offered helpful insights into starting a blog, and what can really help a blog grow. She used many different examples from her personal experience and work experiences, as well as gave specific examples of what works with blogging and what doesn't.

I wish I could've taken this class years ago. Shani knows the in's & out's of the blogging world and her session was informative & helpful based on experience. I'm certain I'll refer to her handout and notes many, many times!

Shani was excellent. I loved hearing all of her tips and tricks of the trade. She offered great insight, but kept it light and funny.

I think it was great to have someone who's made a name for themselves in the subject they were teaching. I also loved that Shani was so well prepared and had handouts for us - I'm still going to back to reference her notes frequently! I also loved that she left lots of time for questions.
