  This was such a fun class! Our teacher Delaina broke down the basics of calligraphy and allowed us to practice at our own pace. She was just the nicest! Whether you want to seriously learn calligraphy or just have a fun afternoon making pretty words, this class is for you! I am excited to continue to practice on my own.

  I had the best time at Calligraphy and Cocktails! Sam is an excellent teacher and the class is really fun. She has a beautiful, romantic, and modern calligraphy style.   Such an amazing event! My friend and I signed up for a fun "adventure"/outing. I could not have been more impressed. Samantha was such a great instructor/host. Perfect balance of learning a new skill/hobby and time to socialize. Rhine Hall was also the cutest little spot.

  I've been looking for a calligraphy class to take and came across this one. First off - Rhine Hall Distillery has great bevs! Delaina was the perfect teacher and was so patient with everyone.   As a left-hander, I've heard calligraphy is very difficult. But with this class (and the wonderful teacher, Delaina)- it was great!! I appreciated it was with the quill (and not the markers), and we got to take them home, along with a pot of ink and take-home crafts!!

  (Oh- and the cocktail I got from Rhine Distillery (the Secret Garden) was perfect! Summery, not sweet, and delicious!)

  I had a wonderful time at this event! The vibe of the distillery was awesome and the drinks were really tasty. Sam was a very welcoming teacher and answered all questions and made sure to help us out when we needed.   I had a wonderful time in Sam’s calligraphy class. She explained the process well starting with the very basics of how to hold the pen properly and then we moved into actual strokes. I would recommend this class to anyone wanting to learn the fundamentals of pen and ink calligraphy.

  Sam did an amazing job of walking us through the basics of calligraphy. By the end of the session i felt super comfortable with writing! Great atmosphere in the distillery with amazing drinks! I would definitely do this again!!!

  I loved this class!! I always wanted to learn Calligraphy and this class is the perfect entry to that art.   I found Sam's class via a local makers group we are both part of. I was interested in trying calligraphy after practicing "faux"ligraphy/hand-lettering for the last year. I had previously tried pointed pen calligraphy and had gotten extremely frustrated. Sam was a great instructor and the class was so fun! It was set in a beautiful home store & our group had a big table where we could all spread out. Sam talked through all of the skills and was able to help us perfect our grips & strokes - exactly what I struggled trying to teach myself on my own! We left the class with a good baseline of skills and all of the tools to keep practicing. I would definitely recommend taking this course if you're interested in learning a new and fun hobby or perfecting your calligraphy!

  I really enjoyed this class. I liked that the beginning was very instructional and then we had the chance to work at our own pace.   Absolutely loved this class! I have been wanting to learn calligraphy for a while now and this was a perfect introduction. The class was small and intimate which allowed us to ask questions and for Samnto give personal attention / instruction when needed. Would highly recommend!

  My mom and I attended this class together and absolutely loved it. Sam was a great instructor who provided helpful demonstrations and was very well prepared.   This was not exactly my favorite workshop as it felt like something I could've done on my own. The teacher was helpful and was available to answer any questions, but I do wish that there was a little more to this workshop than individually working on our packets. It would've been more interesting if we were all working together on something unique to the individual class. I also discovered that this style of calligraphy is much more formal and old-fashioned which didn't necessarily mesh with what I was hoping for which is more of a lettering styling (marker and sharpie script work). At any rate, it was a good intro class but I think it was overpriced for what I got out of it.

At any rate, it was a good intro class but I think it was overpriced for what I got out of it.
