Matt Kawa received his BA in Performing Arts from Iowa State University. While there he performed with the Orchesis I dance company for 3 years and was also heavily involved in ISU Theater productions, both acting and designing.
Matt moved to Chicago 4 years ago and since has continued dancing, most recently with the Innervation Dance Cooperative in Gods, Monsters, & Heroes. Matt's love of acting and comedy has kept him studying the craft and performing in Chicago; he's completed the Improv Olympic training program and is currently enrolled in the Second City Conservatory. You can see Matt improvise with his group Red Panda or dork it out with sketch group, The Nerdologues.
Matt is very excited and proud to be a part of Sway Dance Chicago, Go Swayzies!
Great class! Covered basic box step and salsa. Teacher was awesome: engaging and encouraging. Would love to take another!

I took the class with my girlfriend, and we both had an awesome time. The group was fairly small (10-12) and the instructor was fun, friendly and taught at the appropriate newbie level.
