Event Overview

This is a simple 1-day workshop for any person looking to learn the art of shoemaking. You will make a whole pair of shoes for yourself in ONE DAY!

This beginner level course is designed so easy a caveman could do it. Students will learn how to handcraft their very own pair of shoes in their desired size. You will learn how to size feet, choose from high-quality materials, and use traditional shoemaking techniques to create your very own pair. This workshop has a maximum of 4 students so that each student will have time for individual attention.

All glues used in my studio are NON TOXIC and leathers are ethically sourced. If you would like to use vegan leathers, please indicate so at checkout or via email and I will send you a separate invoice of $50 to cover the cost of materials.

Style: Mule, men's & women's style/sizing available. Pictured is women's style, men's style is rounder similar to a dress shoe.

This experience has a minimum of 1 students required to go forward. You'll be notified if it is below minimum 7 days in advance. If the minimum is not met 24 hours before the event, you’ll have the option to pay the difference for a private event amount, transfer to another date or Dabble experience, or receive a refund.

If you are a shoe lover and are looking for a class where somebody shows you how to make shoes from scratch, Intro to Shoemaking with Alexandria Wills is your class.
I learned a lot of curious things about how to make shoes. She measures and explains you about your feet, then you choose the leather you want for your shoes. She is a young and very creative entrepreneur and knows a lot about Shoes, Bags, Leather and other materials business. The studio is very cozy, we spent all day there. I love my new pair of shoes and also we ended doing a belt-bag matching my shoes. It is a bit pricey comparing to other Dabble courses, but it's really worth it. I will definitely encourage you to try it. You leave the class with your customized pair of shoes and with a clear sense of how the business works. Also, I added my initials on the shoes and they look great. I will definitely come back !!
