Event Overview

Eating goat cheese and lemons may soon be more pleasing than biting into a piece of chocolate cake, thanks to the discovery of a special berry called the Miracle Fruit.

The Miracle Fruit is a small berry that rewires the way the palate perceives sour flavors for as long as one hour. Those who have tried the berry claim that everything they eat with acidic properties become sweet. Lemons taste like lemonade, goat cheese turns into cheesecake and Guinness with lemon sorbet becomes a chocolate milkshake.

Simply Food Chicago Personal Chef Service invites you to experience this mind-blowing fruit by hosting the first in a series of “flavor tripping” classes. You will be able to test the berry and enjoy a selection of items that complement the Miracle Fruit. This event is perfect for the "Foodie" or just adventurous eater, or just someone who just likes to meet new interesting people.

- One Fresh Miracle Fruit Berry Tablet
- Selection of Sour Savories (Goat Cheese, Sour Cream, Cottage Cheese, Hot Sauce, Balsamic Vinegar, Ketchup, 1000 Island Dressing and Sour Gummy Worms)

Many years later, after working in the corporate world, and starting her own family; so eventually, she turned her passion into a career path and attended culinary school at Kendall College School of Culinary Arts. Donna started her Hospitality career as a Garde Manger then quickly moving up to line cook at the famous Gordon's Restaurant in downtown Chicago. Following her stint at Gordon's, Donna realized she wanted to go in business for herself and cook the cuisine she wanted and loved to make, so she started her own catering and personal chef service. Now, she happily prepares the foods she loves for clients, family and friends, and also gives cooking instruction and assists in wine consultations. Though her first love will always be cooking and hospitality, Donna enjoys being behind the scene, photographing food, wine and social events when working with her lifestyle photography company, Donna Binbek Photography.
